About this event
Life Drawing at the Old Bank, 24 Market Street, Camelford
Our drawing group meets at the Old Bank, Camelford. Which is opposite the Methodist Chapel and below the library. The nearest car park is just over the bridge on the left. It’s not free after two hours, and people have been fined, so best not to try your luck.
The session is a weekly and untutored session in Camelford during Autumn and Spring periods. We have about 15 people who are interested, though normally we get seven or eight per week from across North Cornwall
The group is not for profit. The cost to participants is £15 per session, which covers the model and the venue cost to Old Bank rent. The venue has tables and chairs though some bring their own easels. We do not provide any materials.
The session is on a Thursday from 10am till 12.30 including a break for refreshments. The Old Bank provides refreshments and requests a contribution.
The format is usually to start with a variety of shorts poses that act as ‘warm up’ for artists and the model and lead up to longer ones, sometimes up to an hour.
The experience of all our models and artists varies, and there is, in my opinion, a convivial and supportive atmosphere.
