About this event
I am a photographer and writer showing photographs of the sea and shore. Most are from Cornwall, including some from my books ‘Sea Journal’ and ‘Sea and Shore Cornwall: common and curious findings’.
As well as photographs and signed books, there will be cabinets of the beachcombing and mudlarking finds that have inspired my work over the years (as featured recently on ‘Rick Stein’s Cornwall’ and BBC Radio 4’s ‘Ramblings’).
There will also be copies of ‘Treasure from the Sea’ (for children) and ‘Rag and Bone’, which won the Royal Society of Literature Giles St Aubyn Award for Non-fiction.
If anyone would like to order particular prints from the books beforehand, you can contact me via my website and collect during Open Studios week. The prints are archive quality and can be framed or mount only.
My work will be shown alongside that of seven other local artists.
‘No-one who has ever been awed by the sea, or struck by its beauty, will fail to be thrilled by Lisa Woollett’s wonderful Sea Journal’
