About this event

Lizzie Brown's studio in her lovely garden overlooking Coverack village and harbour. Painting in oil and mixed media, land and sea in varying styles.

Lizzie Brown’s studio is in a lovely terraced garden top overlooking Coverack village and harbour. Situated in a SSSI area of Outstanding Beauty it is a small traditional fishing village with a vibrant community on the unique Lizard Peninsula.

Lizzie works in oil and mixed medium, sized from tiny to 80 cm on canvas, board and paper. Mainly land and seascape drawing inspiration from looking out of the window but also from travels around the UK in her campervan and walking with Tanner the labrador. The aim is to portray the feeling of a time/place and the style varies, most of the paintings evolve over months or even years.

Visitors are welcome to tea/coffee/homemade cake in the pretty garden if they wish to linger and enjoy the view.

Details

The terraced garden to access the studio is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility due to the many steps.

Directions

Studio at Waters Edge (next to Porthgwara Nursing home), North Corner, Coverack, TR12 6TG. From Helston take B3293 then B3294 to Coverack. Park in the public CP and walk down to the sea. On foot take the road left marked Coastal Path. Waters Edge is on the right just before the Nursing Home. No car access.
