Lizard

The Lizard Peninsula is the British mainland’s most southerly point and with an exceptional geology creating a haven for rare wildlife, this area has recently been designated as a National Nature Reserve.  Unsurprisingly things to do here centre on the great outdoors:  Miracle Theatre bring open performance to popular campsites each summer; there are wildlife walks with the National Trust and some of the most scenic stretches of the South West Coastal path are ready to explore.  The Marconi Centre at Poldhu near Mullion is a hidden treasure revealing the story of how Marconi’s groundbreaking wireless experiments on the Lizard led to a communications revolution.
