About this event

Buying new clothes was rationed from June 1941 until 1949.

Make Do and Mend was part of the government’s campaign encouraging people to repair, reuse and reimagine their existing clothes during the Second World War. Explore how those on the Homefront coped with limited rations and how this became a way of life in this family friendly display.
