Set Sail for Summer Play

Make this the summer of maritime adventure at National Maritime Museum Cornwall. Running from Fri 24 July to Wed 3 Sept, there’s something exciting waiting for the whole family.

Explore the pop-up indoor play space, where games help you chart your voyage before you dive into hands-on activities inspired by the sea. Dress up, play together and capture memories at every turn.

The Pop-Up Adventure Play Space and Maritime Adventure Trail is open every day, 10am – 5pm. Nautical Make and Take activities run daily from 12:30pm – 3:30pm.

Look out for special performances and storytelling throughout the holidays. Mischief the Mermaid brings Ocean Tales to life every Monday at 11am and 2pm, while Jenny Beare’s Sailor’s Tales set sail every Tuesday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Rattlebox Theatre will be performing Sam O’Shanty and the Lucky Mermaid Show on Wed 6 August and Thurs 7 August at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

All summer holiday activities are free with Museum admission. Pay once and enjoy free visits for a whole year, plus and Under 5s visit FREE.

Accessibility

Details

There are five levels in the Museum, all of which are usually accessible by lift or ramp. Accessible toilets are located on the first and second floors and there are larger facilities available if required. An ADi Room Mate is installed in the accessible toilet near to the Waterside Cafe.
