About this event
Explore mark making with natural forms and handmade tools, using inks and mixed media.
In this half-day workshop with Robyn Weldon, you will hear about the history of mark-making and the importance of such techniques in artists’ practice.
You will explore working with different tools and painting techniques using acrylic and/or watercolours. Outcomes will be varied in size and combine the techniques and different methods of working.
You will then learn how to be selective from your work using a “viewfinder” method to visually edit your abstract outcomes ready for you to take home and frame.
Robyn is running these workshops on Thurs 26 and Fri 27 August in conjunction with her new exhibition, “Discoveries”, showing at Inspire Makers from Tues 24 August to Sat 4 September. Come and meet the artist and gain some insight into her work.
