About this event
Painting and teaching art is a life passion for me. There is so much to be experienced from the act of creating art. I’ve been painting and drawing my whole life and have a passion for teaching, which I have been doing for almost twenty years now.
Having recently moved to the beautiful North coast of Cornwall from Kent, I now run small group classes and workshops in watercolour, ink and pastel from my little studio in Poundstock near Bude. I also offer extended weekend workshops and painting holidays, taking inspiration from the outstanding natural beauty on my doorstep.
Now that I am fortunate enough to have my own studio to showcase my work and hopefully sell my original paintings, prints and cards, I would love to welcome you in while I paint and show you my work. The subject and media I use in my painting practice is varied but my first love is watercolour, closely followed by pastel and oils. I am very interested in portraiture but love to paint almost anything, and now that I live on the North Coast I am being pulled more and more to the colour, mood and vivacity of the sea.
Although there is no obligation to buy, I have several original pieces for sale as well as prints and am more than happy to take commissions. If you have anything particular in mind, please feel free to ask.
Being part of North Cornwall Open Studios this year will allow me to share what I do, and if through showing my work I can inspire others to paint themselves all the better. Art is therapy as they say, and I can’t say fairer than that!
