Micro-Collage Landscapes – Family Art Workshop
Join us for a family art workshop Monday 30th May, 11am – 4.30pm in the Knut, St Just.
Have you ever picked up a shell or a stone and thought that they contain a whole miniature landscape? In this workshop we will magnify the details, textures, patterns and colours of small natural objects, plants and surfaces found in Penwith, on beaches, fields, moors and in hedgerows. These might include stones, feathers, leaves, lichens, shells and flowers. Bring your own miniature objects, or photographs to work from.
Using papers, paint and mixed media, artist Sue Kinley will show you techniques for making different surfaces and textures that will be shaped, joined and collaged to make your own original artwork. These will then be displayed at an Art Exhibition on the 16th – 29th August in the Miner’s Chapel, St Just, with prizes to be awarded!
This workshop is suitable for creative families with children aged 8 and over, or of course adults who want to let loose their creative side. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The workshop is free to attend and spaces are limited – please go to https://www.penwithlandscape.com/events/2022-05-30/micro-collage-landscapes-family-art-workshop to book!
