Molly Biscoe - Open Studios

Molly is a Cornish Illustrator with a playful, imaginative style, working primarily in pen and ink and colouring digitally.

Molly’s illustrations have a dream-like quality, often featuring an androgynous character roaming around the dreamt worlds for the viewer/reader to project their own identities onto. She has an enthusiasm for colourful, retro interiors, influenced by her passion for the music and culture of the 1960’s and 70’s. This has now expanded from her illustrations to real life – you can find her hand-painted furniture dotted around her shared studio at Krowji.

Since graduating with a BA (Hons) Illustration from Falmouth University in 2015, she has worked on a wide range of commissions, including children’s activity packs, murals, stage backdrops and animated film titles. As a songwriter, her love of the written word features in many of her illustrations, with personal, reflective thoughts and comments woven into the imagery. During her time at university she developed a love of children’s book illustration, and is influenced by the work of Dr Seuss, Maurice Sendak and Tove Jansson. She is currently working on her own children’s book, running an Etsy shop selling prints, and open to private commissions.
