Join us on Wednesday 21st February for an evening performance (plus afternoon workshop) from the Mor Poets Collective, a group of women poets from Cornwall who have recently released ‘Mordardh’, a fresh new poetry anthology and a collaboration between the South West County’s poets and surfing communities!

Get ready to dive into the mesmerizing world of surf and sea poetry!
This new project is supported by Arts Council England and involved talking to surfers across Cornwall. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer, sea swimmer or simply someone who appreciates the power of words, this event is for you. Let the talented poets transport you to the waves, where adrenaline meets tranquility, and where surf culture intertwines with the beauty of nature.

This will run from 2-5PM in the MMI De Pace Room.

Whether you dip, dive, surf, or simply admire our horizons from the clifftops, if you love our ocean, come try your hand at some sea-themed creative writing.

Through a series of prompts and activities this session will get you think about capturing the essence and experience of the sea in your writing. All are welcome, first timers and seasoned poetry pros, to this workshop, sure to get your creativity flowing! Encouraged by poets Hannah Temme and Fi Read, you will use the sea as your muse. Leap into an ocean of words together and ride that cresting wave of poetry.
