Morn Robson at Seafolk, Par
An exhibition of paintings by Cornish artist Morn Robson at Seafolk, Par, celebrating colour, light and the landscape around us.
Morn is a painter specialising in oils, while also working in watercolour and acrylic. Her subjects are varied, but she returns again and again to two enduring sources of inspiration: the Cornish coastline and flowers from her own garden.
Inspired by the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists, particularly Monet and Cézanne, Morn is interested less in creating an exact likeness and more in capturing the feeling, atmosphere and unique energy of a place or subject.
Paint is applied quickly and intuitively, often using a palette knife to build texture and movement. Her carefully considered use of colour brings joy and luminosity to the work, creating paintings that feel immediate, expressive and full of life.
The exhibition brings a collection of Morn Robson’s paintings together at Seafolk, a working metal studio and curated gallery in Par, Cornwall.
