About the project:
Ella Walsworth-Bell, Hannah Temme, Abigail Ottley, Kerry Vincent, Kate Barden, Ruth Eggins (from Scilly), and Polly Roberts came together as a shoal of mer-poets & talked to sea swimmers around the Cornish coastline, aiming to find out why women swim. Their poetry combines with stunning marine photography and explores spirituality, womaning and blue health.
About the evening event:
Join us as the Morvoren poets share their poetry, and photography from the project on the big screen.
About the workshop: Mordardh Surf poetry.
This will run from 12pm to 2pm in the MMI Enys Room.
Encouraged by Hannah Temme you will use the sea as your muse. Leap into an ocean of words together and ride that cresting wave of poetry.
Surfers and swimmers welcome – come and share what draws you to the waves; tell us what the sea means to you. This workshop is an opportunity to create or edit your own poetry, whether you are a new or more experienced writer.
Please bring paper and pen, or whatever you prefer to write with. We are keen to make this workshop accessible to all – please let us know if we need to make reasonable adjustments to support your learning.
Come on in, the water’s lovely…
