Philleigh Fayre hosts St Austell Brass Band who will perform new arrangements of Roseland hymns

🎼☀️ The next instalment of the #MusicOfTheRoseland project is taking place at the wonderful Philleigh Fayre on Wednesday the 7th August!

Philleigh Fayre is a highlight of the year, a family friendly community event featuring traditional games and an on site BBQ with plenty of food options.

🎺 St Austell Town Brass Band will be performing featuring four hymn tunes that were written by local preacher and composer Bob E. Martyn. The tunes are named after Roseland villages. These have been especially arranged by Hannah Hawken and we can’t wait to hear them!

This part of Philleigh Fayre is part of a wider project celebrating ‘Music of the Roseland’, The Roseland Music Society, St Gerrans and Porthscatho Old Cornwall Society and the Cornish National Music Archive.
