St Stephen’s Church in Launceston is set to host a captivating concert featuring the talented young musicians Chloe Dickens (violin) and Ricky Moreira (piano) on Friday, July 26, at 7:30 PM. This performance marks the debut of an exciting new music series aimed at bringing classical music to rural churches around Launceston.
The program promises a delightful journey through classical masterpieces, including works by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Boulanger, and Ravel. Attendees will be treated to the virtuosic violin playing of Chloe Dickens, an award-winning multi-genre artist who recently completed her master’s degree in Classical Performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York.Accompanying her on piano will be Ricky Moreira, a skilled accompanist and coach who also performs with Dickens in the Balsam Piano Trio.
In a unique and welcoming gesture, young people and parents are invited to a free “Meet the Artists” session at 6 PM, offering an opportunity to interact with the performers and ask questions in an informal setting.
