About this event
The Nansledan Arts Festival is back, bringing more joyous, festive fun!
This year we are delighted to have Circo Kernow joining us with their dynamic, highly-skilled musical comedy for all the family including the Bed of Dome, Juggling Fruit and the famous Daredevil Walk of Salad along with some circus workshops for all to have a go. You can also help create a community art piece and admire the graceful lines of classic cars. Or learn new skills in one of the art workshops on offer through the week – scratch bands, wet-felting, drink & draw, drumming, mighty manga, fiesta mask-making, poetry, salsa, photography and more. Then find fiesta-scarecrows on the Scarecrow Trail and peruse the talent of local artists on the Art Trail. There is something for everyone!
The finale to the festival, our headline act, is the stupendous international band Track Dogs who are performing as part of their 20th anniversary tour at St Michael’s Church in Newquay. Impossible to define – are they blues, folk, americana? – their unique harmonies and energetic, sunshine-y songs will have you dancing in the aisles, celebrating the height of summer with these incredible musicians.
