Much requested return of the Neil Maya Quartet

1959 is often considered an extemely influential year in the development of modern jazz and it spawned some of the genre’s finest albums of all times including Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue and Dave Brubeck’s Time Out.

Neil Maya has been developing the concept of performance focusing on the music of this seminal year since his quartet’s very successful Brubeck Project two years ago. Neil has a real affinity with the ’50s approach to jazz of which 1959 reaches a high point.
