Newquay Carnival Returns After Five Years.
Newquay is set to come alive with colour, music and community spirit as the Newquay Lions Community Carnival returns to the town on Saturday 5th July, after a five-year absence.
With more than 25 entries confirmed, the carnival parade promises to be a fantastic celebration of the town, featuring local schools, community groups, charities, businesses and individuals. From creative floats to energetic walking groups, this year’s event is shaping up to be a highlight of the summer.
There are some impressive prizes on offer for the Best Entry, including:
A £150 voucher donated by Silver Breeze Jewellery
A £100 cash prize courtesy of Newquay Rotary Club
A £50 prize sponsored by St Columb Financial Services
Organisers from Newquay Lions Club say there’s still time to get involved and are encouraging more groups to join in.
“It’s fantastic to see the Carnival return after such a long break,” said Barbara May – Newquay Lions Club. “The response so far has been amazing, and we’re excited to welcome even more entries before the big day. It’s a chance to bring the community together and celebrate everything that makes Newquay such a special place.”
