Over the last twenty-five years, Luke Wright has built a reputation as one of Britain’s most popular live poets. He has won an unprecedented four Saboteur Awards, a Stage Award, and a Fringe First. Luke has also toured across the world, performing alongside the likes of John Cooper Clarke and The Libertines.
Helen Porter (piano and vocals) and James Budden (double bass) return to St Endellion, where they previously performed as half of quartet Misbehavin’. Expect original interpretations of much loved songs by Cole Porter, Harold Arlen and many more in the duo’s own inimitable style. Playing a heady mix of up-tempo jazz standards and sultry ballads, the duo will nicely offset Luke’s poems to make this an evening to remember.
