The internationally renowned all-female group Papagena is presenting a concert (Nuns & Roses) on Saturday 28th June in Cawsand Congregational Church (PL10 1PD) at 3:30pm. Papagena is the UK’s flagship a cappella group of classically trained singers and their concert will include folksongs (including I courted a sailor by Kate Rusby, medieval chant, classical works by Purcell and Monteverdi, and contemporary pop ballads by Kate Bush and Sandy Denny – something for everyone!
Papagena has performed internationally and all around the UK, made 3 albums, and regularly appears on BBC Radio 3 and 4, Scala Radio and Classic FM. This is a rare chance to hear them live in Cornwall!
Tickets cost £15 (under 16s go free) and are available from SPAR (Fore Street, Kingsand), online at www.wegottickets.com and on the door.
