About this event
… using objects or collections as a springboard to explore different notions of ‘belonging’. Inviting a range of people to write short fiction stories, poems or fragments inspired by objects in Lostwithiel Museum – storytelling rather than written word texts invites and invokes different perspectives and ways of engaging, spoken word and podcasting, as a platform for reclaiming imaginative spaces within historical narratives – past, present and future, have the potential to re-frame ‘future histories’ differently.
We can creatively fill the this can act as a way of filling the blanks in historical records – imaginatively occupying moments of silence or buried experince. Enlivening the materiality of the museum through creative engagement, inviting further imaginative and creative ‘dialogues’ we open up a space for playing with words and podcast the outcomes.
