Simplify and refine your painting skills on this half day workshop. Let go of the detail and avoid distraction to create powerful responses in oil paint to interior studies and landscape.

Start the workshop by exploring composition through line using pencil and graphite. Let go of the detail and avoid distraction by seeing how using your memory can create more intuitive work.

Your tutor will show you how to create oil grounds inspired by the landscape and environment of St. Ives and combine your interior and landscape studies using oil paint on boards. Create dynamic paintings by focusing on simple forms, considered composition and a limited colour palette.
