About this event
AMATA’s talk series is a great opportunity to meet some of the artists that we will be working with over the forthcoming year. Find out about their current projects, inspiration and practice. Ask questions and share your thoughts in a live Q&A session, or just listen if you prefer.
Tonight’s featured artist is Joseph Toonga, a Hip Hop theatre-maker touring regularly in the UK and Internationally. Alongside extensive teaching and independent commissions, Joseph is Artistic Director of Just Us Dance Theatre, a forefronting organisation supporting alternative routes into the professional sector, connecting communities globally and upskilling young black performers and creatives.
Independent commissions include: Boston Conservatoire of Dance, Codarts University of the Arts, Rotterdam, Richard Alston Dance Company’s 20th Anniversary and National Youth Ballet/Bundesjugendballett.
Tickets are free, but booking is required.
