Two-hour session for age 7+ with Kev F Sutherland

Kev F’s Comic Art Masterclass – for age 7 and older. Make a comic in a morning with the writer and artist from Beano & Marvel comics.

A Zoom invite will be sent at 9.30am on the day of the show.

10am – 12 midday, all you’ll need is a few sheets of A4 paper, pencils, and pens if you’ve got them. Everyone goes away with a caricature drawn by Kev, and comic cover we design together (by Kev, sent to you), and you’ll have created a character and drawn a page of comics. All in two fun-filled hours live on the Zoom. Siblings can share one ticket!

His comic strips appear in the UK comic The Beano, chiefly comedy adventures starring The Bash Street Kids, with Dennis The Menace, Roger the Dodger and Minnie the Minx. In 2011 Kev drew Match magazine’s Galaxy Wanderers strip, and Find It in Doctor Who Adventures.

His debut graphic novel Findlay Macbeth was published in 2020.

Sutherland’s previous comic strip work includes Star Trek Ghost Rider 2099 and Doctor Strange for Marvel Comics, UT which he also edited, Goosebumps for The Funday Times, educational illustration for Scholastic and Harper Collins, Zig and Zag‘s Zogazine, Red Dwarf Smegazine (both for Fleetway), and miscellaneous strips for Doctor Who Magazine, Oink, Viz, Gas, 2000AD, Warrior, Gladiators (based on the LWT TV series), The Worm The World’s Longest Comic Strip and many more.
