About this event
Step into a world of texture, gold and quiet drama with artist and illustrator Sonia Hensler.
In this sumptuous mixed-media workshop, Sonia guides participants through building richly layered backgrounds before introducing a figure, creature or object using shimmering gold leaf. The gold doesn’t fill the form — it frames it — so subjects glow out of their surroundings, luminous and slightly strange. This is a session for play, indulgence and intuition rather than perfection. Sonia shares her approach to composition, texture and working with gold, while leaving space for imagination to misbehave.
All materials included. Leave with a bold, tactile artwork and the pleasure of having made something decadent and completely your own.
