About this event

Create postcard sized paintings using simple pen and wash techniques

A relaxed session spent in our studio overlooking Porthmeor beach and if the weather permits, some walking around St Ives. We will work on simplifying and pairing back images to get at the essence of place. Our experienced tutor Hilary, will first show you how to capture a simplified outline of our street scene with a line drawing, then adding texture and depth using tonal washes of colour.
