About this event
From our historic studios overlooking Porthmeor Beach, artist Steven Buckler will help you to de-mystify the art of oil painting.
This one day workshop with will dispel any misconceptions you may have about oil paints and will equip you with the knowledge and confidence you need to start using them.
Starting with various application techniques and progressing onto some simple observational painting, you will learn about the different attributes of this versatile medium. If the weather permits, you will be able to take a stroll along Porthmeor beach and sketch the beautiful coastal scenery. Back in the studio, use your sketches and oil paints to explore the possibilities of this versatile medium under the guidance of an experienced artist.
