About this event
After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the Festival will take place this September over three days with something for everyone.
The Festival gets underway on Friday 9th September with an evening performance walk led by Cobweb Tours accompanied by the Redruth Festival Band from the town centre to Wheal Uny via St Euny Church. Once at the old mine workings, there will be more music and storytelling before the stacks of the engine houses are once again smoked in memory of all the miners who worked in mines at home and abroad.
On Saturday 10th September, the action moves to Redruth Town Centre with food, live music including the Redruth Town Band and a mariachi band, market stalls, creative workshops and pasty competitions. Festival-goers will be invited to bake or craft a pasty for judging with some great prizes on offer for the winners.
The weekend will end with the Redruth Fun Day in Victoria Park on Sunday 11th September. Highlights include a dog show hosted by Last Chance Hotel Animal Rescue, space hopper racing, stalls, food & drink and entertainment.
