About this event
An opportunity to chat and make new friends over a tasty Cornish-inspired afternoon tea, cooked by our volunteers with rescued foods.
You might be served rescued pasties, gleaned vegetables, or rescued end-of day produce, which would all have been wasted otherwise. So not only do you enjoy a two-course hot meal, you’ll help reduce food waste. Our puds are getting rave revues – whether its Cornish apple cake, traditional bread & butter pudding, or rhubarb crumble made with fruit gleaned from Cornish gardens. Join in with a Cornish quiz, or listen to a short talk on the history of the Cornish pasty (with some myths busted!)
Every Friday afternoon 3pm – 5pm in the Saltash Community Kitchen. “Pay as you feel” donation.
