About this event
Phil Hare: Singer / Songwriter, Guitarist Extraordinaire, with support from Cornwall’s ‘Queen of the Hammered Dulcimer’, Kerensa.
PHIL HARE is a British acoustic finger-style guitarist and a contemporary folk songwriter and performer who has been on the scene for about as long as there has been one! Born in late 1958 in Ormskirk, Lancashire, he is now a resident of Cambridgeshire.
He has released several critically-acclaimed albums and, down the years, has toured in the US, Holland, Belgium and France as well as across the UK. However this will be his first ever visit to Cornwall, so lets make it a night to remember!
Phil’s performances include a degree of audience participation in the form of chorus songs – often laced with black humour and political undertones. This is mixed with guitar instrumentals covering folk, blues and jazz traditions from the last hundred years and beyond.
The Scots Herald said: ‘A mind-numbingly entertaining performer’.
