How to write poetry with beautiful donkeys as the writing subjects

No previous experience required. Come and have some creative fun!

The workshop will give you a toolkit on what makes good poetry, activating empathy, writing visually and sensually, the word as sound, rhythm, and poetry as activism.

Heidi Stephenson is the former South West Regional Coordinator of Apples and Snakes where she produced many Spoken Word events and 3 national tours. She writes poetry for International Times and All-Creatures.org and has taught over 70 workshops for Literature Works, Exeter University, Arvon Foundation, Arts Council, and many animal NGOs.

This is a fundraiser for the Flicka Foundation and all proceeds will be for the donkeys.

Details

We have parking spaces close to the sanctuary entrance and access to all areas of the site is possible for visitors with limited mobility. Our walkways are concreted, we have access ramps into our tearoom and gift shop and disabled toilet facilities are situated next to our tea room. Please ask if you need any assistance.
