About this event

Learn the basics of throwing pots on the wheel with an experienced professional maker.

Learn the basics or refresh your know-how, with an intensive day of throwing on the wheel, an abundance of clay available in the spacious and well-equipped studio of ceramicist Richard Phethean author of New Ceramics textbook ‘Throwing’ One-day, 6 and 1/2 hour sessions held on the last Saturday of the month to enjoy a solid introduction to the potter’s wheel, or receiving a review of your existing skills and maybe tackling a personal project. You may decide to join a regular glass or sign up for a 5 day throwing Course, a 7 days slipware course or one of the occasional classes for glazing or firing. You should bring your own apron and towel and a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
