About this event
Join local printmaker and ecologist Layla Ousley for a beginner-friendly linocut printmaking workshop inspired by the beauty of the sea and coastal wildlife.
In this relaxed session, Layla will guide you through the process of creating your own postcard-sized prints, taking inspiration from the coastal landscapes that surround us. You’ll learn the basics of image transfer, hand burnishing, and using a tabletop press — and by the end of the session, you’ll take home your own small edition of handmade prints, perfect to keep as your own treasured artworks or to share as handmade Christmas gifts.
All materials are provided, along with tea, coffee and cake to keep you cosy as you create. Please bring an apron or wear old clothes, plus a sketch pad and any simple images or ideas you’d like to work from.
Celebrate the festive season with creativity, community, and the joy of printmaking!
