Experience the magic of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary this May half-term!

This May we’ve gone potty over puffins…with a week packed full of puffin-themed activities, including puffin arts and crafts, animal rescue demonstrations, engaging talks, and feeding sessions. Search around the Sanctuary for our ten Icelandic rescue puffins, solve the clues and reveal the secret Puffin Patrol Password!

Venture to Puffin Island to discover their fascinating stories and witness these charming little birds zooming around underwater!

Don’t miss our seal hospital, where you can meet the adorable seal pups under our care, before wandering down to our pools to get acquainted with the resident seals who call the Sanctuary home. Plus, don’t miss out on seeing the final seal pups of our 2023-24 season before they are released.

With an onsite café, playground, and scenic woodland walks, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary promises the perfect family day out.

Details

Due to the nature of our location, there are some steep gradients on our site. From our main reception area and car park, it is about a 600m walk to our seal hospital, and then a further 300m downhill to our seal pools. For visitors that may need mobility assistance due to the site’s steep gradients, we have a golf buggy that operates on a seasonal basis that can take up to 4 passengers or 2 passengers plus a wheelchair or mobility scooter. On some days, the golf buggy may be unavailable and so our on-site van is able to take up to 4 passengers. For days that neither our golf buggy or on-site van is available, or for visitors unable to use these for any reason, we do have limited accessible parking available near our hospital and seal pools. Please speak to a member of our team on arrival if you require this assistance.
