Public Exhibition from 20 young creative talents!

The Porthmeor Art Collective are proud to introduce their upcoming exhibition Quest for Paradise
You are invited to join us to celebrate the art of 13-16 year olds who undertook five online sessions with Emerging Artist Caleb Richards.

Inspired by the techniques of contemporary painter Michael Armitage, who recently showed at the Royal Academy, they were introduced to industry level painting techniques. They explored modern art history and the medium of painting. The members of the PAC did not only create traditional paintings but works that challenged the medium beyond the paintbrush. They learned the key principles to think and create with the same pragmatic approach found exclusively within a contemporary painter.

This Porthmeor Art Collective is made up of 20 young creative talents, mostly from Cornwall. This exhibition isn’t just to showcase these young artists’ exceptional paintings but to highlight the necessity for a youth presence in the local community. This exhibition underlines the uncompromising potential they hold and can offer our communities when their voices are given the platform they deserve.
