Join us on this sustainability-focused 1-day course and improve your business and design skills

This intensive one-day course for 14-17 year olds at Falmouth University will incorporate activities to support your learning about the design innovation process, persona/customer profile development, how to identify an opportunity gap, rapid design ideation, and storyboarding for the design element and pitching.

Led by academics from both our School of Architecture, Design and Interiors and Cornwall Business School, the day offers a unique opportunity to experience the intersection of design, sustainability, and enterprise in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

On this course, you will learn about and carry out:
• The Design Innovation process
• How to build personas/customer profiles
• Identifying opportunity gaps
• Rapid Design Ideation
• Storyboarding for design
• Digital marketing and pitching to an audience

By the end of the day, you will:
• Have gained essential knowledge about digital marketing, pitching, and customer profiles,
• Have created sketches to contribute to your portfolio that demonstrate design thinking,
• Have greater market awareness.
You’ll be taught by our experienced Falmouth University staff. All staff teaching this course are DBS cleared and have undergone our mandatory safeguarding training. Students will be supervised through the day including break times.

The course includes refreshments, lunch and all materials you’ll need for the day.
