About this event
How do you take the measure of a man’s life? What did he do? What didn’t he do? Rashleigh is the scandalous story of Charles Rashleigh, a man forgotten by history. A ‘promenade’ play through the key moments that created the man, taking us through his riches to rags journey. Walk in his shoes across the cliffs and beaches where he once stood, stand upon the harbour he built and consider what you thought you knew.
Performed across the magnificent Charlestown Harbour, join us for a journey through this controversial Cornishman’s life and decide for yourself the true measure of the man.
Meeting no later than 6.30pm in the Harbour, we will assist you up to the Battery where our Tale will commence.
This show is for those more ably minded, as part of the show includes a walk up hill to the battery, it is performed outdoors and will involve you walking through the village so wear suitable clothes and steady shoes as we take you into the life of Charles Rashleigh.
