The Rebellious Sounds Archive, Pop-up exhibition at Kresen Kernow.

Come and see our new pop-up for May and June ‘The Rebellious Sounds Archive’, Dreadnought South West’s community collection of feminist oral histories.

Experience first hand stories of activism from women and non-binary people from across the South West region.

Visit this unique travelling archive, designed to look like a voting booth (inspired by the Votes for Women campaign over 100 years ago), and take the time to listen to these contemporary stories of courage and rebellion.

Also, keep an eye on our What’s On event page on our website for more exciting opportunities to engage with this collection and the wider collections at Kresen Kernow in June, when Dreadnought South West and guests will be in residence.
A varied programme will be running from 13-17 June, including workshops, discussions, singing and performances – watch this space!

Accessibility

Details

Kresen Kernow is fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with lifts to all levels and automatic main entrance doors. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, with a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet also available on the ground floor. Separate baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor. If you are arriving by vehicle, there are six accessible parking spaces at the Tesco side of the building and a level entrance into the building. If you are arriving on foot or wheels, from Redruth town centre, the closest entrance is at the end of the public path which runs through the old brewery site, from Chapel Street to Kresen Kernow.
