About this event
A brilliant day of recycling old materials in a fun and creative way. Rag rugging is a traditional craft that is often passed down through the generations, as a way of using worn out clothes, bedsheets and wool to create beautiful long lasting rugs for the home.
Textile artist Charley (The Roaming Rug Company) feels devastated about the negative impact the textile industry is having upon the planet, and aims to re-kindle this wonderful tradition, giving old fabrics a new lease of life.
Join this workshop and walk away with a beautiful handmade rug, new friends, and hopefully a new hobby!
The workshop will run from 10am-3pm in the Seed Box workroom at Bosavern Community Farm, places are limited (max 10) so please book and pay in advance by contacting Shelley at the farm.
