About this event
There are a whole host of Christmas activities across the Parish starting with the ‘Redruth in Lights’ event on Saturday 26th November.
The plan for the day:
11am – Wassail Bowl Handover in Redruth Library
11am until 5pm – Festive Town Market
1pm – Santa Bus on Alma Place
3pm – Redruth Town Band to play at Tatey Court
4.15pm – Redruth Carol Choir singing in St Rumon’s Gardens
Joined by participants for the Lantern Display to learn the Redruth Wassail
4.45pm – Mummers Play outside the Regal Cinema
5.15pm – Carol singing at the Miner Statue with Father Christmas
5.30pm – Christmas Light Switch on with Chris Hailey of the Redruth Charity Trust and the girls of Redruth Rugby Club
5:35pm – Wassail bowl ceremony proceeds through the town’s back streets and into hostelries following the traditional Wassail singing and dancing around the streets of Redruth. All are welcome to take part, dress code is Victorian mock formal or just join in. Any collections into the bowl on route are donated to local charities.
7.30pm – The Drapery Wassail after party
