About this event
Whale shark research is still in its infancy, however, new technologies and dedicated research have allowed us to better understand the behaviour and the whereabouts of these fish. Studying aggregations in the Western Indian Ocean has allowed us to recognise the threats they face so that we can put measures in place to protect them. Education is a key part of the ecotourism which leads to the success in whale shark conservation.
Come and learn the latest information about whale sharks as it is unfolding for someone who has studied them for six months in Tofu, Mozambique.
