About this event
Adventure through some of the best pools in Newquay with marine experts finding the amazing critters that share our shores.
The event lasts around 90mins and includes a pasty and a drink. You will be helping us! All species data collected will be sent to the local environmental record centre to help with conservation policy.
Meet at Esplanade Green for guide introductions and safety briefing. We have a minibus and can offer up to 8 people a lift if transport is an issue – please ask for more information when you book. First come first served.
Please note we will run this in all weather – unless there is a weather warning and we believe it is unsafe to do so. Please dress appropriately: sturdy shoes, coats and layers that you don’t mind getting wet! If the weather is unkind, the rockpool experience will be held in Newquay Marine Group’s room at the Harbour – where we will bring the rockpool critters to you.
All details will be confirmed 24 hours before the event
This workshop is part of Be Newquay Festival – a new season of events, activities and workshops that celebrate Newquay’s culture and creative spirit. Throughout each weekend in November, the festival will be taking place at various venues across the town. Find out what else is on the programme here. Join us and be creatively curious.
The Be Newquay Festival has been curated by Cornwall Council project ‘Experience Newquay’ in collaboration with local project partners Love Newquay and Visit Newquay. It is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
