Intro to Roller Derby course to learn skating skills and introduce you to the sport

Ready for a new challenge?!
We’re starting our 12 week Intro to Roller Derby course from Tuesday 17th September at Newquay Sports Centre!

This course is open to all genders 18+ and is suitable for all abilities, no prior skating experience required! We also have full kit hire available.

To allow flexibility the course will be broken down into three blocks of 4 weeks:
– Block 1 starts on Tuesday 17th September and will cover skating basics and introduce you to the sport.
– Block 2 starts on Tuesday 15th October and will build on derby specific skate skills.
– Block 3 starts on Tuesday 9th November and will get you fully acquainted with contact and game play.
These coached sessions will run from 18:45 until 21:00

If you are an experienced or returning skater we’re happy to discuss you joining in at the start of one of the later blocks, please come along to either of our taster sessions (details below!) and have a chat with the coaches if you would to do this or drop us a message.

Cost:
4 week block: £35 with own kit / £45 with kit hire
8 week block: £60 with own kit / £75 with kit hire
12 week block: £85 with own kit / £105 with kit hire

Taster Session:
If you’d like to come to our one-off taster session to try out some drills and see some derby demos we’ll be running this on Tuesday 10th September (18:45-21:00)
Cost: £5 with own kit / £8 with kit hire per session.
