Taster Session and 12 week Intro to Roller Derby course

We’re delighted to announce that we are now accepting bookings for our new skater intake!
We’ll be running our 12 week Intro to Roller Derby course from Tuesday 26th September at Newquay Sports Centre.

To allow flexibility the course will be broken down into three blocks of 4 weeks with Block 1 covering skating basics and introducing you to the sport, Block 2 building on derby specific skills and Block 3 getting you fully acquainted with contact and game play.

Block 1 starts on Tuesday 26th September
Block 2 starts on Tuesday 24th October
Block 3 starts on Tuesday 21st November
The sessions will run from 18:45 until 21:30

If you are an experienced or returning skater we’re happy to discuss you joining in at the start of one of the later blocks, please come along to either of our taster sessions (details below!) and have a chat with the coaches if you would to do this.

Open to all genders 18+

Cost:
4 week block: £30 with own kit / £40 with kit hire
8 week block: £55 with own kit / £72 with kit hire
12 week block: £80 with own kit / £100 with kit hire

Taster Sessions:
If you’d like to come to our taster session to try out some drills and see some derby demos we’ll be running this on Tuesday 19th September (18:45-21:00)
Cost: £5 with own kit / £8 with kit hire per session

Here’s what you need to do to book a place:
Email or message us on Facebook providing us your name and contact number.
Tell us which taster session(s)/course block(s) you want to book on.
Tell us if you have your own skates and safety gear, or if you need to hire it. If hiring, we need to know your shoe size for skates (please note: equipment/skate hire cannot be guaranteed – kit is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon booking).
