Opera star Alexander Vassiliev returns with a fascinating programme from dark satire to light comedy

International opera star Alexander Vassiliev (bass-baritone) returns to Cornwall by popular demand along side rising star conductor/pianist Angus Webster as part of Dante Summer Festival. Their wide-ranging programme includes famous songs by Rachmaninov (marking his 150th birthday), Pavel Haas, Shostakovich and concludes with Mussorsky’s masterpiece Songs and Dandes of Death. Coffee and cake at 11am followed by concert at noon.
