About this event
Saltash Regatta is a free, two-day community festival on the River Tamar, delivering a vibrant programme of live music, arts and participatory activity in an accessible outdoor setting. Led by volunteers, it attracts thousands of visitors annually and plays a key role in connecting communities through shared cultural experiences.
A central focus of the programme is live music, delivered across two stages showcasing local artists, emerging talent and youth performers. The Livewire stage provides a dedicated platform for young musicians, supporting progression, confidence and creative development through real performance opportunities. Artist-led activity sits at the heart of the programme, ensuring high-quality, inclusive cultural experiences.
Alongside music, the Regatta offers a wide range of participatory events including gig rowing, creative workshops, family activities and the much-loved Cardboard Boat Race, encouraging active involvement from people of all ages. Informal, drop-in activities reduce barriers to participation and invite audiences to become participants.
Taking place across Jubilee Green and Waterside, the festival is highly visible and embedded within the community. It provides opportunities for local people to engage with arts and culture in a familiar environment, while supporting local artists and strengthening partnerships with youth organisations.
Saltash Regatta increases access to high-quality cultural activity, supports emerging talent and fosters community pride and connection.
