Penzance Litfest presents: 'Wave, Wild Wind and Foreign Shore'.

Sara MacDonald will talk about the inspiration for her book The Long Road from Kandahar, set in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Cornwall. Sara tells the story through the eyes and growing friendship of a Pakistani boy, sent to England to escape the Taliban, and the son of a soldier fighting in Afghanistan. It reached her publisher as Kabul fell to the Taliban in August 2021
