About this event
Join us on Thursday 4th May 2023 as we are joined by Ruth and Kerry. The interdisciplinary duo met 5 years ago both working as commercial seaweed harvesters in Cornwall before starting The Seaweed Institute with the aim to connect people, seaweed and the intertidal space through workshops, talks and exhibitions.
In the talk they will introduce you to the best edible, local seaweed species, discuss tides, sustainable harvest practices and the cultural history of seaweed. They will also talk you through ways of using this abundant and nutritious resource in your own cooking.
Your evening, which will start at 6.30pm for 7pm includes supper and coffee followed by Ruth and Kerry’s talk. Numbers are limited so please do book early.
Please note: our Supper Club with The Seaweed Institute does not include Seaweed Pressing. Please visit our website for more information.
