About this event
Coming from a cross cultural background, my ceramics practice is rooted in the exploration of the relationship between identity and landscape. Living and working on a Cornish farm with my young family, we gather elements from the landscape and incorporate them into the pottery. Wild foraged clay is prevalent in my practice, as are glazes made from ashes of fallen trees from the land. Making work that is both decorative as well as functional, I draw inspiration from the elements, the landscape and the views of the Camel Estuary, as can be seen from the studios.
Located halfway between Padstow and Wadebridge, our farm runs along the Camel Trail. The studios are located just over half a mile from the Trail. If travelling on the Trail, from Old Town Cove, walk all the way to the top of the hill. Just past the bend of the road is where we are located. Scenic views of Padstow, Rock and the River Camel await. Refreshments will be available upon arrival.
Families welcome. Mini pinch pot workshop available for those interested to have a little play with clay.
We look forward to seeing you here!
