WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will be taught how to make a textured sterling silver bangle with handmade silver charms. Within the session you should be able to make more than one charm depending on the complexity of your chosen design. Everything will be made by hand with no pre-bought pieces.

The standard bangle will be made from 2mm wire, however if you prefer a chunkier bangle then you can upgrade to 4mm wide wire for a small supplement.

If you would like to make a bangle for someone else, you will need to know the size before you arrive. Sizes cannot be changed after the workshop.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
The cost of the workshop covers tuition and all materials required as well as tea, coffee, soft drinks etc.

Don’t forget your reading glasses if you need them as there is a lot of close-up work!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Due to the nature of the tools and materials used in the class you are required to wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Hair must be tied back and please do not wear loose clothing or scarves; you may not want to get your nails done before the session!

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Laura Talbot started Porth Jewellery in Summer 2018 after many happy hours ‘playing’ in her friends’ silversmith studio. She now works from her home studio in Falmouth creating unique pieces from specially selected seaglass uncovered during her beachcombing trips.
